To this end, Serendipity created a new cutting design, embodying the highest technological achievements of our time, carrying timeless rational aesthetics, and paying tribute to the innovative spirit of France.
The new cutting design was conceived to celebrate this achievement. Looking up at the Eiffel Tower — from its base upward, the tower reveals a captivating octagonal symmetry, with perfect symmetry from whole to part. Gemologist Christine Chen, in collaboration with the gemstone cutting family from Idar-Oberstein, Germany, drawing on her profound understanding of gemstones, developed the "Eiffel" gemstone cut over several years. The design has been granted patents in both China and Europe, breaking the straight contours of traditional square gemstones to create a shape resembling the arched supports of the Eiffel Tower. The internal facets of the gemstone draw inspiration from the tower's truss structure, allowing the jewel to radiate a unique brilliance. Every gemstone is a treasure co-created by art and science.
